Adolph Stephan Friedrich Jentsch (1888-1977) was a German-born Namibian artist of great skill and talent. He remains one of Namibia's, and indeed Africa's, foremost artists. His interpretation of the African landscape marks an apex in the development of the art that arose from the synergistic mix of the 20th Century European mind and the unspoiled landscapes of the "Dark Continent".
